The Pure-N-Simple Soap Family
Pure-N-Simple Soap is a small family business that operates right from there home in Upstate NY.  Each family member has their own contribution to the family business.  The family consist of Barbara and Bob Palulis and their three children, Rob, Mike, and Melissa.
Barbara Palulis is the owner and founder of Pure-N-Simple Soap.  Barbara was inspired to start making soap after many years of being conscientious of her diet for health reasons, and found out that it is not only important what you put in your body, but what you put on your body as well that will influence your overall health.  She learned that the skin is the largest organ of the body and is permeable.  What started as just experimenting, making small batches of soap for personal use led to sharing and gifting family members and friends, until the day came when family and friends asked the big question Why Are You Not Selling Your Products! 
So now several years later what started out as just a personal interest hobby developed into Pure-N-Simple Soap.

The name Pure-N-Simple was chosen after much time in prayer seeking for the perfect name.  Barbara felt that the name Pure-N-Simple describes it all.  "We only want what is pure and healthy for our bodies, and it really does not have to be difficult."
Barbara says she is very blessed to get the love, support and encouragement that she receives from her family and close friends on a daily basis.

Rob
Our Web Designer
Rob has wonderfully designed the Pure-N-Simple Soap web site, and has spent many hours researching and writing articles.  This has been a learning experience for him, as prior to Pure-N-Simple Soap; he had zero web building experience.  Rob really enjoys informing the customer and making the web site user friendly and informative.
“He is also our motivator; he keeps us going when we don't feel like going.  He is constantly encouraging and helping us to set goals and focusing on accomplishing each one”.
Rob got involved in the business by being a user of the products and realized that the products his Mother was making were unique and high quality.  He became very passionate about the products that were being made and as he continued to research and write articles has found himself taking on the role of Pure-N-Simples Soaps marketer, customer service, researcher, writer, web designer, and basically Jack-of-all-trades.
Rob also contributes to the family business by providing all the wonderful herbs that you find in the Pure-N-Simple Soap products.  He has successfully put up his first greenhouse and has plans to build an herb farm in the future.  Until then he is selling his herbs at local farmers markets and building gardens.  You can see some of his work on his web site.
Mike, the second child of Bob and Barbara is a chef and lives in Vermont with his wife Jennifer and three children Ella, Madeline and Izaac. Mike and his family help promote Pure-N-Simple Soap products in Vermont by supplying a local gift shop called the Little Red Hen. When they are home for visits, they are always eager to give a helping hand, whether it be wrapping soaps or helping out in the garden. Their three hour drive is starting to get old, and they have a desire to move back closer to home and
family. "It is our prayer that as Pure-N-Simple Soap continues to grow, the entire family could be full time employees.  We cherish every minute of time we can spend together and labor as a family, and thank God for the gifts He as blessed each one of us with."  Jennifer has been blessed with a green thumb, and has a knowledge and appreciation for herbs and natural products for essential living, and is very passionate in choosing chemical-free and environmentally safe products for her and her family. Mike, like his father, is a born salesman.  Mike also contributes to the family business with love, and support and constant encouragement.  His goal/dream is to be able to move closer to home, work with his brother Rob running the herb farm, help Mom and Dad out with the markets, and possibly teach cooking classes at the farm using the herbs that come from their gardens.
Melissa, the baby of the Pure-N-Simple Soap family is the scholar.  Melissa is finishing up her Masters degree in Special Education at Plattsburgh, and plans on pursuing her Doctorate as well.  She has a strong desire and burden to find cures and treatments for the ever-increasing disease of Autism. 
In addition to helping promote her Mother's business, she works three jobs and is a full time student.  Melissa works with her brother Rob on marketing projects, and also like her Father she is definitely a salesman, or shall we say salesperson?  At every school she subs at she gets on her
own "soap box" to convince all her co-workers to use only natural ingredients such as her Mother's goats milk soap products!  Melissa has contributed to many of Pure-N-Simple Soap's on-line sales through the relationships she has developed with people at her jobs, sharing with everyone she meets about the wonderful products her family produces.

Even Barbara's sister Debbie and family look forward to helping when they visit from Long Island.  Here Debbie and two of her three children, Jamie and Kyle, are helping Aunt Barbara pick calendula petals for the Calendula Orange Soap Bars.  Jamie herself has learned how to make her own lip balms and has sold them to raise money for church activities she has been involved in.  She is quite the entrepreneur!

Bob, the husband of Barbara also known as the Market Man, supports his wife by laboring many, many hours behind the computer making labels.  Occasionally you will catch Bob in the kitchen grating fels-naptha or wrapping soaps, but his real gift is working the farmers markets and festivals.  Bob is a natural salesman and a people-person.  Each week Bob will load up his vehicle after pulling a midnight shift at a nearby Hotel he is employed at, and will travel as much as 100+ miles to support his wife by selling her products.  There have been many times he mans the booth solo, while Barbara stays behind
